“Life of the Party” Role for Evan?

This has popped up without warning on Evan’s IMDb profile, and I can’t seem to find anything else posted about it, but it seems as though Ev has a rumoured role in Life of the Party, set to be released in 2013. She has been linked to the role of Sandra, and the synopsis is below – if anyone finds out any futher information, please let us know!

A touching comedy drama about 3 friends edging towards their thirties who, in an attempt to hang on to their carefree youth, embark on an attempt to write themselves into the history books by trying to host the world’s longest house party.

Evan Rachel Wood for ““Les Misérables” Role?

Taylor Swift, Lea Michele, Scarlett Johansson and Evan Rachel Wood are all in the running for the highly coveted role of Eponine in Oscar-winning director Tom Hooper’s big-screen version of “Les Misérables,” sources tell us. A source close to the film confirmed that the four actors have all auditioned for the role. Another said that Michele “knocked it out of the park” when the “Glee” star — who played Young Cosette in the Broadway show — recently performed for the “King’s Speech” director. But it will be a tough choice because each star has her own magic ingredient for the musical based on Victor Hugo’s novel. “Scarlett brings acting ability, and she can really sing,” said the source. “Evan Rachel Wood brings her indie cred.” And casting Swift would mark a major move over to Hollywood films for the pop star. The Working Title and Universal movie is already stocked with stars, including Hugh Jackman, Russell Crowe, Anne Hathaway, Eddie Redmayne and Geoffrey Rush.

Evan for “Farragut North” Role?

When George Clooney directs a film, it either ends up scoring six Oscar nominations (2005?s Good Night and Good Luck) or turning into a flop (2008?s Leatherheads). But you’ve got to credit the guy for assembling interesting casts. Now New York magazine’s Vulture blog is reporting that Clooney is set to cast Paul Giamatti, Philip Seymour Hoffman, Marisa Tomei, Evan Rachel Wood, and Chris Pine for his upcoming political drama Farragut North. (Clooney’s rep confirmed the news to EW.) Clooney himself is said to be taking a small role in the film as well.

This all raises two questions in my mind. 1) Is this the coolest cast of all time or what? And 2) Can you believe Hoffman and Giamatti have never worked together before?

Evan for “Dragon Tattoo” Remake?

As the clock clicks down toward the fall production start date for David Fincher’s “The Girl With the Dragon Tattoo,” cinephiles around the world await the news as to who will play antisocial hacker Lisbeth Salander.

EW offers up some interesting news lately, indicating that there’s buzz that Fincher may be considering a more established actress for the role vs. his previous m.o. which was to cast an unknown. The site’s inside sources indicate Natalie Portman, who was offered the role and passed, may be back in the mix. Arguably, the last gritty role she played was as a child assassin in Luc Besson’s 1994 action film “The Professional” which launched her career as an actress.

Also, Evan Rachel Wood, who has a track record for dark roles, i.e. “Thirteen” and “True Blood,” might also be a contender.

EW says, “ A second round of screen tests were conducted last week with four fairly unknown actresses who donned complete Lisbeth Salander garb to play the troubled heroine opposite Daniel Craig as Blomkvist. Fincher and Sony, however, have yet to make a decision.”

The paper also adds its insight on the filmmaker’s creative decision toward the role of Lisbeth: “Regardless of experience, Lisbeth Salander isn’t an easy role. Making it more difficult is the filmmaker’s current plan to have all the players speak with Swedish accents, a decision that could potentially prove distracting. Should the accents not be delivered flawlessly, the film’s stars could also be a potential target for ridicule.”
