Evan Rachel Wood for ““Les Misérables” Role?

Taylor Swift, Lea Michele, Scarlett Johansson and Evan Rachel Wood are all in the running for the highly coveted role of Eponine in Oscar-winning director Tom Hooper’s big-screen version of “Les Misérables,” sources tell us. A source close to the film confirmed that the four actors have all auditioned for the role. Another said that Michele “knocked it out of the park” when the “Glee” star — who played Young Cosette in the Broadway show — recently performed for the “King’s Speech” director. But it will be a tough choice because each star has her own magic ingredient for the musical based on Victor Hugo’s novel. “Scarlett brings acting ability, and she can really sing,” said the source. “Evan Rachel Wood brings her indie cred.” And casting Swift would mark a major move over to Hollywood films for the pop star. The Working Title and Universal movie is already stocked with stars, including Hugh Jackman, Russell Crowe, Anne Hathaway, Eddie Redmayne and Geoffrey Rush.

Whoever gave you this info is so wrong. To say that Scarlett can really sing, and Evan has indie cred? Evan is the real singer, Scarlett is NOT a great or even good singer outside of a sound studio. The real scoop is that Scarlett is NOT being considered at all….as far as I know did not even audition. Lea Michelle was considered too old for the role, and Hooper did not think she was right for it. Evan is the one who knocked it out of the park. Hooper was completely blown away by her audition. Hooper is only considering actresses who can sing the role live. I know every young actress who thinks they can sing wants this part….but, as of last week, Evan is the only one who has actually been offered the role.

Ah, the NY Post. Fake news….take with grain of salt. :)

So, I checked this out with sources at Tara Rubin, and Working Title…..Scarlett cannot sing this role and is not right for it, and didn’t even audition for it. She auditioned for Fantine, but could not handle the song. Lea Michelle is too old, and the director does not think she is right for it. The studio may be pushing her, but he is not interested! Wood was the one who blew him away with her audition….not Michelle. My sources are better then NYPost’s, and my sources say Hooper still wants Wood, if she’ll do it. But they also say she passed on it….so, he has been looking around at unknowns and Swift.

I hope this is true… Wood is the best of this four…
